December 30th: M'hamid - l'oasis  – Bivouac Chigaga

Departure from M’hamid by a 4WD vehicle at about 2:00 p.m. to Chigaga dunes.
Driving for 2 hours on a track with a break at the sacred oasis.  Arriving at the big dunes to watch the sunset from the top of the highest one (30 minutes walk to be reached). Return to camp to have tea and listen to songs and enjoy darboukas, evening dinner and overnight in tents.

December 31st: Day camel trek and New Year’s Eve

In the morning after breakfast we start for a camel trek through the vastness of Cheggaga dunes walking for 2 hours or you can also ride a camel. Lunch in the shadow of tamarisks. Then you can have rest for a while and enjoy the dunes. Back to the Cheggaga camp in your tents and get ready for New Year’s Eve party.

In the middle of the desert New Year’s Eve takes place partly in the big caidale restaurant tent for dinner and partly outside around the fire camp for aperitif and evening animation.
A delicious traditional dinner will be served: "Harrira” soup, a barbecue (whole sheep stewed in a special oven: a celebration specialty), couscous and for dessert "a seasonal fruit-basket". Mineral water and a bottle of wine for 3 people are included. There will be tea and Moroccan pastries throughout the evening.
Animation: nomadic evening folklore, Sahraoui music, typical of the desert where we can find inspiration from African rhythms that makes you want to dance and which is played by young villagers. Overnight camping at the bivouac.

Day 3 : Camp erg chegaga - Mhamid

The next day after watching the sunrise over the dunes and had breakfast you will take the way back with a stop at wells before returning to M’hamid at 11:00 a.m.
